Manjuka
My most memorable encounter on a doorstep…
The one where the door was completely plastered with pizza delivery flyers! I guess I was keen to meet the owner of such funky ‘door fashion’. A short disgruntled woman with a fag hanging off her lip growled at me and shut the door in my face!
My epitaph…
Manjuka 1972 – 20?? “Mmmmh, well that was really weird.”
My role model…
A mix of all the best bits of Mary Poppins, Isaac Newton, George Elliot, Quentin Tarantino and Adam Ant – in that order.
My working ground…
To look out for FWBO jargon when it comes up.
When I was a child I wanted to be…
The creator of delicious cornflakes dishes and Head Chef in the world’s first Cornflakes restaurant.
My biggest regret…
Being the moth and not the flame.
The quality I most admire in people…
Love.
My patience is tried by…
Judgemental attitudes, I just think that’s so wrong.
A book that changed me…
Revisioning Psychology by James Hillman – it steered me away from the soggy swamps of literalism and opened me up to myth, metaphor and magic.
If I wasn’t me I’d like to be…
someone just like me.
My favourite film…
Schindler’s List.
